At the Inter-University Turkey Championship held in Burdur, our second-year student Damla Su Türemen from the Department of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Sports Sciences, achieved a significant success by becoming the Turkey Champion in the Karate Kata Individual category.
Accompanied by Associate Professor Sultan Yavuz Eroğlu, our successful athlete demonstrated outstanding performance in the karate competitions held in Burdur and earned the right to represent our university and our country at the World Championships to be held in Brazil with this achievement.
Damla Su Türemen's meaningful achievement is a concrete demonstration of the importance our university places on sport and athletes. We congratulate her and her esteemed instructor for their efforts and wish them continued success at the World Championships in Brazil.
