Students studying at our University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences, who have achieved significant results in wrestling at both national and international levels, paid a visit to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican.
The visit was attended by İsmail Culfa, the Turkish champion in inter-university wrestling competitions; Ömer Can Doğan, who secured third place at the international Dan Kolov Tournament; Samet Tekdemir, Orçun Akduman and Caner Demirtaş, who were ranked third in Turkey; and Mihriban Sayıcı, who was ranked fifth in Turkey.
During the visit, it was noted that our athletes’ achievements are a source of pride for our university, and it was emphasised that support for our students’ academic and sporting development will continue. Our students were congratulated on the determination, discipline and success they have demonstrated in the sport of wrestling, and it was hoped that their success would continue to grow in future competitions.
