Final-year students from the Department of Recreation within our University’s Faculty of Sports Sciences shared their final-year dissertations, conducted under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sultan Yavuz Eroğlu, with the academic community through a poster presentation event.
The event, which showcased the scientific work the students had prepared with great dedication throughout the year, attracted significant interest from both academics and students. The programme was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, the faculty management, department staff and a large number of students.
During the event, the students had the opportunity to share the objectives, methods, findings and conclusions of their research with participants through the posters they had prepared. The studies, covering various topics within the field of recreation, were examined with great interest by the attendees.
Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alican, visited the poster exhibition area, examining each of the projects prepared by the students and learning about the work being carried out. Chatting with the students, our Rector congratulated them on the effort they had put into the scientific research processes and the high-quality work they had produced. Noting that university education is not limited to theoretical knowledge alone, our Rector stated that research and project-based work make significant contributions to students’ academic development.
Throughout the event, productive scientific discussions took place between students, academics and participants. The evaluations of the research findings provided students with different perspectives on their work, whilst also contributing to the strengthening of a culture of scientific sharing.
The poster presentation event, organised under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sultan Yavuz Eroğlu, provided students with the opportunity to present the knowledge and experience they had gained during their undergraduate studies on a scientific platform, whilst also serving as a successful example of research-oriented learning.
The programme concluded with a group photo session following the examination of the posters and discussions between participants and the students.
