At the Turkish Badminton Leagues National Championship, Yakup Özen and Cihan Özen, students from the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Muş Alparslan University, achieved a remarkable feat by facing each other in the final. Our university’s athletes concluded the championship by sharing the top of the podium with a gold and a silver medal.
In the men’s category, where 54 athletes from a total of 27 universities competed, our Faculty of Sports Sciences students left their mark on the championship with their outstanding performances, high competitive spirit and consistent play. This significant achievement once again demonstrated our university’s rising vision and competitive strength in sport.
Dr Muhammet Baş, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, who served on the event’s technical committee, and Dr Metin Karayol, the team coach, stated that this double success, achieved despite challenging conditions, was a source of great pride.
